About The Author

Brandon E. Batchelor is the founder and president of Caldrave Press®, a publishing brand built from a simple belief: everyone deserves tools that help them feel seen, understood, and capable of becoming who they were meant to be. His passion for creating journals didn’t begin in a studio or a classroom, it began in the quiet struggles of his own life. Growing up with ADHD, depression, and low self-esteem, Brandon spent years navigating a world that felt too fast, too loud, and too demanding. Those experiences didn’t break him though; they shaped him into a man who refuses to let anyone feel alone in their fight.

A proud Christian, husband, and father, Brandon sees his greatest calling in the everyday work of raising his son and daughter. Everything he creates, every journal, every prompt, every page, comes from that place of love, purpose, and responsibility. His wife works with challenged teens at a high school, giving him a daily window into what young people face today: the identity struggles, pressure, uncertainty, and need for real support. It helps fuel his mission to build resources that speak to the heart, not just the page.

Brandon’s roots run deep in northeast Texas. Honest work, family values, and quiet strength are woven into who he is. He rebuilt his first carburetor at four years old and spent twenty years becoming a master mechanic, fixing things with his hands while learning how to fix the things that can’t be held: confidence, faith, and hope. His work ethic was forged in grease, grit, and humility, and it still shows in the way he approaches everything he creates. No shortcuts. No gimmicks. Just steady, meaningful work meant to make life better for someone else.

Even as a kid, Brandon loved to draw, filling notebooks with sketches and ideas. That creativity never left. Today he designs many of the Caldrave Press covers himself, blending the technical mind of a mechanic with the imagination of an artist. He and his brother work side-by-side, brainstorming, refining concepts, and shaping books that are practical, heartfelt, and grounded in real life. Brandon may be quiet, but his mind is always moving, always thinking deeply, always searching for the next idea that could help someone grow.

As the driving force behind Caldrave Press, Brandon’s goal isn’t fame or recognition. It’s impact. He wants every journal to be a place where someone can breathe, reflect, and discover who they are becoming. A place where teens feel understood. Where parents feel supported. Where faith and encouragement meet real-life challenges.

And after long days of work and long nights of writing, designing, or dreaming up new projects, Brandon still returns to the role he values most: being a dad. For him, that’s not just a title. It’s the mission behind everything he does.
